Friday’s Film Clip: “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”

Today’s film clip is from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, and I find as I start typing this that I even have trouble discussing the film without getting emotional!  If you haven’t seen it, I can’t describe the plot to you—you just have to see it.  Bottom line is that the film’s assertion is that true love between two people has an immense, irresistible pull.  Every aspect of this film’s production is amazing, but it’s most notable for being a Charlie Kauffman screenplay—Kauffman being one of the only working screenwriters who is often the most famous and anticipated thing about the films he writes; usually the screenwriters aren’t even remotely known about, but us movie geeks eagerly await each new Kauffman film.  If you haven’t seen the film, I’m not going to set this clip up; just watch it and then go watch the movie!  (If you HAVE seen the movie, I was unable to find, on YouTube, my favorite scene from the movie: as the beach house is crumbling.  “You said So go.  You know…with such disdain.”  I can cry right now just thinking about it!)
